In a world that is pre-fabricated, mass produced, hurried and cost-driven, I offer traditional and fanciful metalwork that is forged and assembled by hand.   I work most frequently in the Arts-and-Crafts and French Deco styles, but I would love to make your project come to life, regardless of style.

I enjoy doing historic duplication work and re-creation of household fixtures.  I also perform repair work.

I am proud to offer hand-forged cutlery made to customer specifications. I hand forge blades of O-1, L-6, A-2 and ATS-34 steels. I do all of my own heat-treating.  My handle materials include domestic and exotic hardwoods, stabilized woods and modern polymers.

Are you interested in learning how to blacksmith, create welded sculpture or forge your own knife?   Then join me for courses in blacksmithing, bladesmithing and welded sculpture!   Since these courses make great gifts, I offer gift certificates as well.
Ths site is dedicated to my father, Dr. Carl H. Marcoux - an author, historian, a lover of fine cheeses, wines and  hand-made knives.
